Bolo's Birthday Bash (bet you can't say that 10 times fast)

This Saturday was Bolo's birthday, so he got to decide what we did the whole weekend. Saturday evening we had some friends over for dinner. A homemade dinner of salad, spaghetti, and garlic bread, with dump birthday cake and blueberry muffins with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Weird combo with the muffins, I know, but some of our guests have dietary restrictions so I had to make them something special instead of dump cake. No biggie, I LOVE cooking.

Sunday was a recovery day. With all the partying the night before, I was not digging the idea of going out. I don't even think Bolo was sober when he woke up. So we had a pretty chill Sunday at home, full of watching Honey Boo Boo, murdering people on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and the best Indian food ever.

In Towson there's an Indian restaurant on Allegheny Ave, just after the circle, called Kathmandu Kitchen. Their chicken tikka masala is DELICIOUS. And I love their raisin naan bread. It usually comes with nuts too, but I request those are left off. Anyway, this place is sooooo good we eat there a lot, so much that I'm the mayor on foursquare. Come to find out, they deliver. Best. news. EVER. So we order from them quite a bit.

Speaking of Indian food, and Bolo; he was the first person to introduce me to Indian food. I mean sure I had gone to the local Indian cafe in high school for a World Cultures class, but it was not good food. On one of my trips to Jersey when I was still living in Iowa, Bolo took me to an Indian place. I had no idea what to order, so he helped me pick out a dish, probably chicken tikka masala, because that's what I order every time now. I wasn't expecting it to be good, but it was so bomb, and I was hooked instantly.

So it was a pretty fun weekend, and I hope Bolo had a great birthday!
